The first fill Bourbon barrel in which this Pulteney matured for 17 years to become a Single Malt was released by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage in the Symington's Choice series. The cask-strength whisky presents itself with varied facets of vanilla and the fruity, maritime house style of the Highland distillery Old Pulteney. Andrew Symington and his team selected the cask with the utmost care and bottled it at 54.7% vol. without chill-filtering and without adding colour at natural strength in just 199 bottles. Single cask quality with collector's character.

For a long time Pulteney could be called the most northern distillery on the Scottish mainland. When Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso opened in 2013 they took over this title, but Pulteney hasn’t lost its attraction on Whisky lovers. The coastal style of the Old Pulteney Whisky (as the Whiskies from Pulteney are called) is a very unique one and the releases use to be very well judged by the Whisky experts.
