The Isle of Harris Distillery is located on the island of the same name in the Outer Hebrides and was founded with the aim of creating new jobs and a sustainable future for the island community. The distillery first became known for its Isle of Harris Gin before the distillery's first Single Malt, The Hearach, was created. The whisky is made from 100% Scottish barley and the soft island water. Ex-Bourbon, Oloroso and Fino sherry casks are used for maturation. The inspiration for this bottling comes from the traditional "crofts", the small farms on the island that have characterised the life and culture of Harris for generations.
