This Ben Nevis was bottled by independent bottler Elixir Distillers. The 8-year-old Single Malt matured in three casks hand-selected by Master Blender Oliver Chilton and was bottled exclusively for a German importer.

Aroma: Raisin Sweet Sherry Buttery and rum raisins. After that rather fresh and bright with a slight mustiness, which can be interpreted as dirty sherry.

Geschmack: Sweet Fruit Sherry Nuts Buttery at first, then fresh fruits and nuts. At the second sip the sherry influence was much more recognizable. Interplay of musty sherry and buttery boubon-cask notes.

Abgang:Sweet soft, no spice and again buttery. Very similar to the palate, rather short

Interesting young whisky, which varies between musty sherry and buttery bourbon notes. Better suited for advanced palates. 84/100
