Brooklyn Gin comes from the New York borough of the same name and is produced there under the supervision of the two founders, Joe Santos from New Jersey and Emil Jättne from Sweden. The basis for the American gin is a distillate made from corn. A lot of manual work goes into processing the botanicals: the citrus fruits, such as lemons and limes, are freshly peeled and cut by hand. And the juniper berries are also cracked by hand. All the botanicals, including coriander, lavender and cocoa beans, are already steeped with the gin before distillation to preserve as many aromas as possible.
