	Type	Single Malt Whiskey
	Aroma	Vanilla, ginger, cardamom and citrus fruits, followed by delicate rose petals.
	Taste	Notes of wormwood combine with hints of herbs and spices. Warm honey with sweet orange peel, delicious ripe plums and cherries are added before flavours of fresh vanilla, almonds and star anise take over.
	Finish	Long and dry with a hint of sweetness and a subtle, spicy smoothness.
	Maturation	Oloroso sherry and bourbon barrels, finish in white vermouth barrels

Product description

Bushmills Vermouth is the fourth release in the Causeway Collection and was created by master blender Alex Thomas. The non-chill-filtered bottling is inspired by the natural wonder of the Giant's Causeway, which consists of around 40,000 basalt columns that form a causeway. The Irish Single Malt Whiskey matured for 18 years in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks before being refined for a further 3 years in rare casks from the Italian Piedmont region, which were previously filled with white vermouth. The liqueur wine barrels lend the whiskey creation intense, floral and sweet accents. The strictly limited 2023 edition was bottled exclusively for the German market at cask strength.

Kommentar: Ein toller Malt, was Wermut mit Bushmills alles machen kann - wer aber etwas sparsam ist und sich umsieht, der Bushmills Causeway Collection Vermouth 2002/2022 ist genau so gut und ca. 130,00 € günstiger.
