Callington Mill El Sol

Callington Mill is a traditional distillery in the Tasmanian town of Oatlands that looks back on an eventful history. The mill was originally founded in 1837 to grind grain, but was also used for illegal whisky production. Today, almost 200 years later, Callington Mill stands for first-class, now completely legally produced Single Malt Whisky made from regional barley. El Sol combines the flavourful cask influences of six different types of sherry. The combination of former Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado, Palo Cortado, Fino and Moscatel sherry casks has resulted in a creamy Single Malt with complex notes ranging from orange peel and oak to coffee and plum. 46% vol. without chill-filtering and without the addition of artificial colourings promises a multi-layered taste experience.
