Galley Head Whiskey from the renowned Clonakilty Distillery in the south of Ireland is the latest creation in the Galley Head range. This exceptional bottling combines Clonakilty Single Pot Still Whiskey, distilled from malted and unmalted barley, with fine Irish Grain Whiskey and presents itself as a harmonious blended Irish Whiskey. Both ex-Bourbon casks and ex-rhum agricole casks are used for maturation, giving the whiskey a seductive sweetness with tropical fruit notes. The distillery, which is now run by the 8th generation of the Scully family, is located directly on the rugged cliffs of the Atlantic Ocean at the foot of the Galley Head lighthouse. The coastal location of the warehouses and the special climate of the Atlantic coast contribute to the maritime and lively character of the whiskey, which delights both the nose and the palate.
