Variety Single Malt Whisky
Aroma Freshly grated orange peel, marmalade and dried apricots in the foreground, accompanied by honey, roasted almonds and a gentle malty sweetness. Hints of white flowers, light oak spice and herbs reminiscent of camomile tea.
Taste Zesty citrus oils and blood orange dominate, balanced by stone fruit, sultanas and malty biscuits. The influence of the wine barrel adds depth with notes of orange blossom honey, ginger, nutmeg and a hint of oak spice.
Finish Sparkling and fresh with a lingering orange peel flavour and a hint of oak.

Product description
The Deanston Orange Wine Cask Finish Single Malt epitomises the combination of tradition and innovation that the Highland distillery Deanston has been known for since 1966. Back then, founder Brodie Hepburn transformed a former cotton mill into a distillery whose whiskies still stand for character and quality today. This Single Malt first matures for 15 years in ex-Bourbon casks, developing the typical honeyed sweetness, richness and waxy depth that characterise Deanston whiskies. This is followed by an exceptional two-year finish in rare Vino de Naranja casks. The Spanish liqueur wine made from sun-dried orange peel is traditionally matured using the solera method and gives the whisky a very special flavour. The taste reveals fresh orange notes, fragrant honey, roasted nuts and ripe fruit, embedded in a rich, round mouthfeel. Bottled at 53.6% vol., without added colouring and not chill-filtered, this Highland Single Malt Whisky is natural and intense. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks and finished in rare Vino de Naranja Orange Wine Casks - an expressive Single Malt for connoisseurs and lovers of special cask maturation.
