Product description
Highland Park Triskelion is a smoky whisky named after a symbol consisting of three overlapping drinking horns. The three whisky makers at Highland Park have over 100 years of combined experience in making whisky. Triskelion is the first and only time the three have worked together on a Single Malt. They chose three different first fill cask types for this special bottling. Triskelion' was chosen to symbolise the three whisky makers and the three different first-fill casks. In the story from Norse mythology, Odin drinks mead from a triskelion drinking horn and spills a few precious drops. According to the legend, this is how the mortal world was inspired to poetry and wisdom.

Aroma: Der leicht rauchig-würzige Charakter von Highland Park ist hier unverkennbar; eine etwas dunklere, gesetztere Note nimmt die Nase in Beschlag, angeführt von einer Créme brulée und Vanille, und im Hintergrund einen leicht floralen Charakter.

Geschmack: Im Mund kommt dann das, was man in der Nase überhaupt nicht hatte, nämlich eine intensiv fruchtige Süsse; im zweiten Schluck kommen dann eher wieder wie in der Nase die dunkleren und würzigeren Noten zum Vorschein, dann auch noch etwas Zitrusfrucht.

Abgang: Im mittellangen Abgang bleibe eine angenehme Eichenwürze zurück.

Kommentar: Drei Master-Distiller haben je einen Fasstyp ausgewählt, was eine hervorragende Kombination ergab.
