The Distillery:

The Hwayo Distillery is one of South Korea's leading spirits distilleries and is known for its unique soju, a traditional Korean alcoholic drink. The Hwayo Single Grain Whisky is the first Korean Whisky made exclusively from rice. The distillery is located in the Yeoju region, about 100 kilometres south-east of Seoul, and is proud of its deep roots in Korean culture and history. read more

    Geschmack: Vanilla Caramel Litschis Feigen Apple Pepper (zwischendurch fast schon Chili)

    Abgang: Vanilla Honey leicht mineralisch, helles Holz, keine Bitterkeit

    Kommentar: Sehr mild und süß mit ein wenig Fruchtigkeit. Im Geschmack kurzweilig überraschend pikant würzig, was den Whisky spannend macht. Gar nicht mal so schlecht!

    Aroma: Sweet Fruit Fruchtig süß, fast schon erfrischend. Angenehm zu verriechen.

    Geschmack: Sweet Caramel Oak Sehr angenehmes Mundgefühl, nicht allzu komplex.

    Abgang: Caramel Oak Mittellanger, cremig-süßer Abgang.

    Kommentar: Ein interessanter Single Grain. Preislich jedoch ziemlich weit oben angesiedelt.
