The Sanskrit inscription on the bottle represents the five senses (Indriya): Smell, Taste, Sight, Touch and Hearing - reflecting the multi-sensory experience that this Single Malt promises. The name "Indri Agneya" comes from Sanskrit and means "belonging to the fire", a subtle reference to the smoky nuances of the whisky. This bottling is not chill-filtered and contains no additional colouring, keeping it true to traditional whisky craftsmanship. Indri Agneya is matured in a combination of ex-sherry and ex-Bourbon casks, which gives it a fine and multi-layered character. It is considered one of the most elegant and expressive Single Malts to come out of India. Bottled at a higher alcohol content of 46% vol., Indri Agneya offers a complex flavour profile with nutty undertones, ripe fruit and a gentle smokiness. The elegant bottle comes in a beautiful outer packaging with two graceful glasses on which the Sanskrit of the bottle is engraved.

The Distillery:
The Indian Piccadilly Distillery has been producing Indri Single Malt Whisky since 2021. The distillery also produces Camikara Rum, which, unlike many other types of rum, is made from pure sugar cane juice rather than molasses. Piccadilly is now one of the most important independent malt producers in India and has also made a name for itself internationally with its bottlings.

Geschmack: süß, fruchtig, Melone, würziger werdend, schön eingebundener Rauch
Abgang: mittellang, würzig, schöne Eiche und Rauch 
Kommentar: Melone mit Räucherschinken trifft es ziemlich gut, schöne Ergänzung der Indri-Range, gutes P/L-Verhältnis -

Kommentar: Bei einem indischen Whisky erwartet man etwas fruchtiges oder exotisches aber die Früchte schmeckt man erst etwas hinter her. Ein guter Whisky aus einem Gebiet das nicht für ihre Whiskys bekannt ist. -
