Produced exclusively for the German market, this single cask whisky creation has been matured for 7 years since 2018 in the subtropical climate in which the Piccadily Distillery is located. The average annual temperature in the Indri North Haryana region is 25 to 27°C, which means that the distillate made from 6-row Indian barley not only matures faster in the Peated Pineau de Charentes wine cask, but also more intensively. Finding the right degree of maturity is a fine art in itself. The Indian whisky was bottled at cask strength at 58.5% vol. without the addition of colour and without chill-filtering, which intensively highlights its smoky, fruity character. With a few pipetted drops of water, the flavours become somewhat milder and the oak blends with sweet, spicy fruit and smoky notes.

The Distillery:
The Indian Piccadilly Distillery has been producing Indri Single Malt Whisky since 2021. The distillery also produces Camikara Rum, which, unlike many other types of rum, is made from pure sugar cane juice rather than molasses. Piccadilly is now one of the most important independent malt producers in India and has also made a name for itself internationally with its bottlings.

Geschmack: Vollmundig mit Torfrauch, getragen von gelben Früchten und begleitet von einer feinen Würzigkeit. Mit zunehmender Zeit gewinnen die fruchtigen Noten an Präsenz, während der Rauchgehalt weicher wird und dezent in den Hintergrund tritt.
Abgang: Langanhaltend, ausgewogen mit fruchtigen Akzenten und sanften Rauchnoten
