The name La Mauny alludes to the founding of the distillery, which began producing rum in the middle of the 18th century, even before the first British distillery opened for business. La Mauny Vieux Signature Rhum is the flagship of the Martinique-based distillery and is composed with particular care from four different types of rum that have matured in different barrels.

The Distillery:
The Rum distillery Maison La Mauny is named after the then Comte de Mauny, who emigrated from France to Martinique in 1749 and married the daughter of a sugar cane plantation owner there. Rhum Agricole has been produced since 1820.
