Laphroaig is synonymous with intensely smoky malts - so it's no wonder that the Islay distillery places great importance on its own peat. The hand-cut peat is first dried for three months and then used to dry the grain on Laphroaig's own malting floors. In the live tasting we sample three of the smoky creations, including: the 10 year old classic, Laphroaig 10 year old matured at cask strength and the 10 year old Laphroaig finished in sherry oak casks.
The live tasting has already taken place. However, you still have the opportunity to purchase this delicious combination in a set. You can find the video of the live stream directly here in the article or on the Whisky.de YouTube channel.

Kommentar: Ein absolut stinkiger Islay Whisky. Der Quarter Cask legt in seiner Eichenwürze deutlich zu und schiebt ordentlich an. Der 10 Jährige wirkt dagegen medizinischer und weniger würzig, dafür rauchiger.
