Product description
Mac-Talla is Gaelic for echo. The Islay Single Malts under the brand are produced by the well-known Morrison whisky family. The bottling Mara (Gaelic for the sea) is characterised by the maritime nature of the island and was strongly influenced by the salty Atlantic. Bottled at cask strength!

Comment:Pale gold natural colour, on the nose is the classic Caol Ila combination of intense and aromatic bonfire smoke with strong citrus zest notes (lemon, lime and orange peel). Young, salty, briny and slightly medicinal, it's quite gentle for such a high ABV.
Powerful in the mouth, the alcohol is well integrated so that it can be easily sipped at cask strength: creamy, smoky notes not overpowering, smoked barbecue meat, oak spices and malty biscuity sweetness. Again citrus (lemon), salty maritime notes and pepper, liquorice, leather and tobacco, caramel, and aromatic herbs.
Medium-long finish: dry, smoky, mineral, with sweet oak notes.
