Mermaid Zest Gin is a smooth yet complex, flavoursome and aromatic London Dry Gin with summery citrus fruits and wild coastal plants. Grapefruit and hops are combined with island bergamot, lemon peel, rosemary and maritime notes, then distilled and infused with Mermaid Gin. The result is a fresh and flavoursome London Dry Gin with the brand's unmistakable marine notes. The Mermaid distillery is located on the Isle of Wight in England and produces authentic London Dry Gin. Botanicals from the local coast are used for the ingredients.

Kommentar: Endlich ein interessanter Gin, der in der Zitrusvariante nicht nur nach Zitrone schmeckt. Grapefruit ist deutlich im Vordergrund aber wunderbar mit der Zitrone und dem typisch frischen Mermaid-Geschmack abgestimmt. Ein sommerlicher, erfrischender Gin!

Aroma: Saftige Grapefruit, frische Limette und quietschige Zitrone. Ein toller Mix, der Name ist hier tatsächlich Programm.
Geschmack: Sehr mild, die Zitrusfrüchte kommen angenehm rüber. Dazu ein paar frische Gartenkräuter.
Abgang: Es verbleibt die Frische von Zitrus und Kräutern.
Kommentar: mein bester Gin Einkauf im vergangenen Jahr, eine sehr positive Überraschung. Einziger Kritikpunkt vielleicht, ob hier nicht auch 42% wie beim Standard Mermaid vielleicht doch besser gewesen wären? Denn es ist schon ein überraschend mildes Erlebnis. Aber die Aromen sind trotzdem super, wenn man auf frische Zitrusnoten steht.
