Aroma: Aromatic and slightly dry with malty notes. Butterscotch, shortbread and fresh spice and grass flavours followed by lemon curd and meringue.
Taste: Malty caramel, blackcurrants and a hint of lemongrass.
Finish: Recurring notes of shortbread and lemongrass with sweet and spicy ginger jam.
Glen Moray Port Cask Finish
Flavour: Toasted vanilla and light oak notes. This is followed by dried fruit, leather, dark chocolate and blackberries.
Taste: Spices, citrus fruits and the sweetness of caramel and cinnamon.
Finish: Soft and elegant with oak, honey, spices and dark chocolate.
Cask type: American oak casks and finish in port wine casks
Glen Moray Sherry Cask Finish
Aroma: Dried fruit with cinnamon and toffee.
Taste: Oriental spices, vanilla and dark chocolate.
Finish: Long and spicy.
Cask type: American oak casks and finish in Oloroso sherry casks

Aroma: Smoky with vanilla, rhubarb and some leather.
Taste: Again vanilla with spicy and smoky notes.

Kommentar: eine schönes Set, um sich mal einen Überblick zu verschaffen, ohne dass man gleich eine Großflasche rumstehen hat. Allerdings hat man hier nichts mit Alter dabei und preislich ist das leider auf den Liter hoch gerechnet auch sehr teuer (und daher auch Abzug in der Note). Für ein paar Euro mehr würde man bereits eine Großflasche eines der Whiskys aus diesem Set bekommen.

Ein tolles Tastingspack. Alle Whiskys sind für mich vollkommen in Ordnung und haben ein top PLV. Schön um sich gemütlich durchprobieren zu können. Auch für Einsteiger sehr zugänglich. Mir persönlich hat der Port Cask am besten gefallen. Gefolgt von Sherry, Peated und Classic.
