This Mortlach belongs to the Connoisseurs Choice - Cask Strength series from Gordon & MacPhail and is a 15 year old, limited single cask bottling. The labels contain detailed information on the special characteristics. This Mortlach was originally matured in refill sherry hogsheads. Bottled exclusively for the German market, it offers notes of citrus fruits, berries and nuts. Non-chill-filtered and bottled at cask strength, this whisky represents Gordon & MacPhail's special expertise in the combination of spirit and cask.

The Distillery: Mortlach

The Mortlach distillery was the first of Dufftown’s famous seven distilleries. The distillery was also the first legal distillery in the town, which is quite a distinction, especially when we consider the impressive amount of illicit activity that was occurring around the site at that time. read more

Geschmack: Vollmundig mit Brombeer-, Rosinenaromen und Espressonoten, balanciert durch feine Holznoten.
