Peallach Second Fill Madeira Barrique Finish - Peat Wave from The Caskhound offers a characterful whisky experience for lovers of smoky malts. The Caskhound is an independent bottler that specialises in carefully selected single casks from Scotland and releases them in limited editions. This bottling of a peated Tobermory first matured in classic refill casks and then received a one-year finish in a second-fill Madeira cask, which lends additional depth and complexity. Bottled at cask strength with 57.5% vol., unfiltered and without colouring, this limited single cask edition shows the distinctive smokiness of the Peallach malt as well as the careful cask selection of the bottler.

    Aroma: Würzig und leicht herb mit feinem Torfrauch, dunklen Beeren, nussigen Noten und einem Hauch Leder.

    Geschmack: Erdiger Rauch trifft auf Fruchtsüße von Beeren und Quitte, begleitet von Ahornsirup, dunkler Schokolade und dezenter Eichenwürze.

    Abgang: Mittellang, leicht trocken und rauchig mit getrockneten Beeren und würzigen Holznoten.
