The Winter Edition of Red Door Gin is distilled from classic botanicals such as juniper, allspice and angelica root with coriander seeds. In addition to the typical gin ingredients, these botanicals also include allspice, blood orange, hop blossom, sea buckthorn and sultanas. Red Door Gin is produced in the Highland distillery Benromach and is named after its distinctive red gates. Behind these gates, the gin is distilled in small batches in the copper pot still called Peggy.

The distillery was founded by F.W. Brickmann and John Callum in the year 1898. Two years later they started the production. The distillery is right next to the City of Forres in the Speyside.

Geschmack: Festliche Gewürze, süße Sultaninen und ausgewogene Zitrusnoten verbinden sich elegant mit Wacholder.
Geschmack: günstiger Gin
Abgang: irrelevant
Kommentar: Ich hatte eine recht hohe Erwartungshaltung, da er ja von Benromach kommt. Leider wurde diese Erwartung enttäuscht. Elegant oder auch nur ausgewogen finde ich den leider gar nicht. Spielt für mich in der Discounter Klasse. Dann doch lieber einen Schein mehr ausgeben.
