Tsukuriwake translates as diversity and shows this in the context of whisky making, which has been developed and passed on by the Blenders at Suntory over generations. This tradition allows current Master Blender Shinji Fukuyo and future Blenders to push the boundaries of the Japanese art of Single Malt. The tsukuriwake approach, which focuses on diversity in production, is at the heart of Yamazaki and Hakushu. Through special ingredients, maturation, the selection of wooden casks and unique craft processes, the full expressive spectrum of a Single Malt is explored and expanded. Until now, Suntory's focus has been on the casks in which the whisky was matured at Yamazaki and Hakushu. Now you have the opportunity to get to know the complete spectrum of Suntory from the production process, the water used, the environment, the peat, the distillation including the casks used, sip by sip.
