Aroma: Verdammt brutaler Rauch und Torfigkeit! Schärfe wie bei frischem Pfeffer/Chili. Umami-Noten (Fleisch, Speck oder Fisch) sind sehr üppig vorhanden.

Geschmack: Voll, bombastisch und fast umwerfend: Hohes Rauchlevel (Mein Tipp mit ordentlich Wasser!) mit trockenem Grillfleisch, gebrannten Nüssen und alles mit Pfeffer-Chili-Soße glasiert. Ölig und cremig zu gleich.

Abgang: Sehr lang (am nächsten Morgen war der Rauch und ein Teil der Öligkeit noch zu erspüren). Viel Rauch und Torf mit herber Würze, die sehr aufdringlich ist.

Kommentar: Ein Whisky-Epos dieser Malt! Von Hinten bis Vorne ein Akt der puren Rauchigkeit. Sehr anstregend auch für die Sinne. Nichts für Anfänger oder Rauchmuffel. Egal welcher Whisky uns Smokehead da präsentiert: Einfach super gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis!
