Aroma: In der Nase wirkt dieser Whisky sehr fein, weich und ausgeglichen, ohne Kanten und Ecken. Ich rieche Beerenfrüchte, wie Brombeeren und Himbeeren, Karamell und Akazienhonig. Vielleicht auch noch exotische Früchte, wie Mango und Aprikosen. Dazu etwas Kokos und dunkle Weintrauben, Rotwein und Zitronenzesten.

Geschmack: weich, florale Noten, Kirschen, Beerenfrüchte, etwas Eiche und kaum Schärfe, etwas Ingwer vielleicht, jetzt kommt etwas Schokolade durch. Es bleibt mild und süß.

Abgang: eher kurz. Zimt und Eiche kommen durch mit leichter Bitterkeit und etwas Pfefferschärfe, alles im Rahmen. Die Fruchtsüße und die Vanille bleiben bestehen und dämpfen dass Eichenholz ab.

Kommentar: die komplexe, fruchtig weiche Nase mit all ihren Facetten ist das Beste bei diesem Whisky. Insgesamt ist er weicher und milder als die Schotten. Eine schöne Abwechslung, die mir der reduzierte Preis von 89,90 € durchaus wert war. Mit 48% Vol. und einem längeren Abgang wäre das der Banger
