Product description
The Tamnavulin Red Wine Cask Edition is post-matured in casks that previously contained Cabernet Sauvignon. After finishing, the malt is blended again in bourbon casks for harmonisation.
Tamnavulin was built in 1966 in the rural village of Tomnavoulin, Scotland. Almost three decades later, it was closed again. After extensive renovation, the reopening was celebrated in 2007.

Tamnavulin is one of the younger Scottish distilleries and only built in 1966. It was founded to produce a great quantity of Whisky for Blends and this is still its main job. There are only a few Single Malts released as official bottlings from Tamnavulin, the “mill on the hill”, but the Speyside distillery on the banks of the river Livet is worth to have a closer look on it. read more

Der Tamnavulin Cabernet Sauvignon Cask Finish ist ein ansprechender Single Malt Whisky aus der Speyside-Region. Durch die Nachreifung in Cabernet Sauvignon Weinfässern erhält er eine besondere Tiefe und Komplexität. In der Nase bietet er Aromen von roten Früchten, Vanille und Gewürzen, die sich am Gaumen mit Noten von dunkler Schokolade, Eiche und einer leichten Süße fortsetzen. Der Abgang ist weich und langanhaltend. Insgesamt überzeugt dieser Whisky durch sein harmonisches Zusammenspiel von fruchtigen und würzigen Elementen und ist eine empfehlenswerte Wahl für Liebhaber besonderer Fassreifungen.
