Aroma Dark caramel with sultanas, dried plums and apricots merges with hints of ripe cherries and nuances of freshly squeezed orange juice.
Taste Caramel notes and facets of apricot, peach and apple meet a combination of blackberries and currants.
Finish Long with lots of fruity notes and a slight spiciness.

Product description
As with the previous bottlings of The Firkin, the whiskies were subjected to a second maturation in special casks made of both French and American oak to give them a special flavour profile. The Teaninich, distilled in 2009, was refined in such hybrid casks, which were previously a cuvée of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenz Sherry.

Teaninich distillery is located very close to the village of Alness. Other well-known Highland distilleries, such as Dalmore and Glenmorangie, are located in the immediate proximity. A stone's throw away from the distillery is Teaninich Castle, which was renovated by its owner when the distillery was founded, but now houses a hotel and restaurant. read more

Kommentar: In der Nase zuerst Sherry- und Nuss-Aromen, dann zunehmend süß und fruchtig mit Pflaumen, Beeren und Orangen. Auf der Zunge wandelt sich die Süße zunehmend in fruchtige Noten mit Apfel, Brombeeren, Pfirsich. Der mittellange Abgang zeigt sich würzig, malzig-süß, im Ausklang mit einem Hauch von Beeren und Schokolade. Alles in allem ein schöner, fruchtiger Malt.

Aroma: Dunkles Karamell mit Rosinen, getrocknete Pflaumen und Aprikosen geht in Anklänge von reifen Kirschen und Nuancen von frisch gepresstem Orangensaft über.

Geschmack: Karamellnoten und Facetten von Aprikose, Pfirsich und Apfel treffen auf eine Kombination von Brombeeren und Johannisbeeren.

Abgang: Lang mit vielen fruchtigen Noten und einer leichten Würze.
