The Busker, the busker, is an Irish blended whiskey with a high proportion of malt and Single Malt and Pot Still. The third in the group is Irish Grain Whiskey. True to the motto of all good things come in threes, the whiskey is matured in Bourbon as well as sherry and marsala casks for a particularly smooth and complex character.

Kommentar: Whisky mit erstaunlichem Aroma und Geschmack in Bezug auf diese Preisklasse. Milder Whisky mit 40%, sehr gut zu trinken. Erstaunliches Aroma im leeren Glas am nächsten Morgen. Da gibt es hochpreisigere Whiskys, die bei diesem Test völlig blank sind. Nebenbei, die Flasche ist richtig gut designed und ist in meiner "Whisky-Altersheimsammlung" erfrischend auffällig. War nicht meine letzte Flasche.

Kommentar: Bestätigende bzw. ergänzende Bewertung zur korrekten Abbildung meines persönlichen Eindrucks. Er ist schwer einzuschätzen, mal sehr angenehm malzig-vanillig und rund, dann aber wieder unausgeglichen und fast alkoholisch. Aber es war eine Erfahrung wert.

Kommentar: Nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht wirklich gut. Durch Bourbon- als auch Sherry- und Marsalafässer tatsächlich Triple Cask, aber auch nur "smooth". Die Herstellerbeschreibung sagt es korrekt: Subtile Noten von Vanille und Zimt. Es fehlt die Tiefe, er schmeckt eindimensional, obwohl er nicht verkehrt ist. Gute zwei Sterne.
