Tres Hombres Rum Ed. 67 Republica Dominicana Solera 18 Years

The Tres Hombres rums are named after the famous sailing ship that sails the seas without an engine and seeks out culinary delicacies. This rum from the Dominican Republic is one of them. For Edition 67, distillates from column stills are matured in a variety of barrels - including tawny port, calvados and cognac barrels - using the solera method and blended together by Bodegas Oliver. The long crossing from the Caribbean to Amsterdam exposes the barrels on board the sailing ship to additional weather conditions, different temperatures and the sea, which gives the maturation and the rum itself very special, additional flavours and makes it so special.
