Product description
The 7-year-old West Cork Single Malt Whiskey is initially matured for four years in oloroso sherry casks and is also refined for three years in bourbon casks. The company relies heavily on manual labour in whiskey production: the team built most of the equipment for mashing, fermenting and distilling themselves. It is the only distillery on the Emerald Isle that uses only home-malted grain for its whiskey. Triple distilled, not chill-filtered and without the addition of colour.

The West Cork Distillery is located, as the name suggests, in the west of Cork in Ireland. In 2003, the distillery was established by three childhood friends without the prospect of much success. But the distillery turned out better than expected: today, more than 100 people, most of them from Cork, work there to produce and market Whiskeys, Gins and Vodka.

Aroma: Grüne Früchte mit einem Hauch Malz. Es folgen Noten von Marzipan und roten Beeren.
Geschmack: Malzige Anklänge mit Tanninen, erneut grüne Früchte, dazu würzige Akzente von Zitrus.
Abgang: Fein und weich mit Malz und roten Beeren.
