The Yellowstone brand was launched as early as 1872. The whiskey is named after the American national park called Yellowstone, which the Limestone Branch distillery is committed to preserving. In the 1960s, Yellowstone Select Bourbon was one of the best-selling bourbons in the USA. The distillery wants to build on this success. For the Family Recipe bottling, the distillery uses an old recipe that was found in an old suitcase and has always been in the possession of the Beam family.

Hab den nach dem Video von Pat spontan gekauft. Bourbon ist jetzt nicht meine Nummer 1. Stehe eher auf Rye oder Bourbon mit hohem Rye Anteil. Wobei ich auf dem Gebiet aber noch Anfänger bin.
Der Yellostone ist ganz anders, als die Bourbon, die ich vorher probiert habe. Extrem anspruchsvoll und komplex. Keiner zum Zechen für zwischendurch. Der braucht Zeit und Ruhe und kommt dann unglaublich wuchtig und toll daher.
50% lassen sich nicht verstecken aber schwächer würde der wahrscheinlich nicht so gut funktionieren. Das ist ein Bourbon, den man sich ins Fach stellen kann, wenn man ein paar gute Alternativen parat haben möchte.
