With Smuggler's Trail, the Zuidam distillery presents a single blended whisky that is dedicated to the former smugglers' trail in the area surrounding the distillery. Zuidam marries three types of whisky distilled in its own Pot Still. Single Malt, Wheat Whisky made from wheat and malted barley and Grain Whisky made from rye, maize, wheat, spelt and malted barley are combined. The Smuggler's Trail - Peated Oloroso Cask is a limited special edition whose components were matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks, as well as a smoky Single Malt component that lends fine smoky notes and chocolaty depth to the overall concept of this Blended Whisky.
