Description du produit

McClelland's is one of the most enduring brands from the days of the old Stanley P. Morrison whisky dynasty. It was launched in 1986 as a range of unidentified Single Malt bottlings based on four Scotch whisky regions: Islay, Highlands, Lowlands and Speyside. The bottling from Islay is adorned with a drawing of the village of Port Charlotte, located on the island.

Kommentar: Für Einsteiger bei dem Preisleistungsverhältnis auf jeden Fall nett. Kann man mal zum Verkosten oder um in die Islays reinzukommen ordern. Keiner der mich umhaut aber er enttäuscht mich auch nicht. (Ich bin aber auch neu in der Branche und es ist der erste Rauchige)
Ich würde ihn nicht als Fehlkauf interpretieren…

Geschmack: süßfruchtig, bisschen Nuts

Kommentar: Ohne Ecken & Kanten, mild & gefällig, dazu preisferundlich, wie alle 4 Whiskys dieser Reihe.
Rauchig ist der auf niedrigem Einsteigerlevel. Wem das zu viel ist, der sollte von allem Rauchigem besser fern bleiben.

Kommentar: Neben den Tamnavulins ist auch der McClelland's im unteren Preissegment eine absolute Überraschung. Fein abgestimmt, süffig mit ein wenig Eiche und Heidekraut-Nuancen.
