Sherry

	Variété	Single malt whisky
	Arôme	Soft and lively, with fresh maritime notes of seaweed and the sea, followed by oak, vanilla and herbs. Fruity sherry tones and impressions of a Sicilian lemon grove by the sea in summer and light smoke.
	Bouche	Creamy, smooth and voluminous with sweet facets of orange and lemon, a hint of creamy vanilla and a house of sea salt follow with peppery notes and a woody spiciness.
	Finale	Medium length with a gentle, warm flavour. A splash of water even adds spiciness and the aftertaste becomes drier.

	Maturation	American oak refill barrels, partially refined in new, freshly burnt American oak barrels pre-treated with Oloroso

Description du produit

This Oban from the distillery on the border between the Highlands and Islands was bottled for the 2024 Special Releases. Under the motto 'what if' in the Spirited Xchange Second Edition, the bottlings represent whisky craftsmanship combined with a high degree of creativity. Different flavours are presented through different and special cask compositions. The special releases guide tasters, whisky fans and single malt collectors through rare bottlings, rich flavour profiles and their own imagination. The 10-year-old matured in American oak refill casks and was partly finished in new, freshly burnt American oak casks pre-treated with Oloroso.

Aroma: Weich und lebhaft, mit frischen maritimen Noten von Seetang und Meer, die von Eichenholz, Vanille und Kräutern abgelöst werden. Fruchtige Sherrytöne und Eindrücke von am Meer gelegenen sizilianischen Zitronenhain im Sommer und leichter Rauch.

Geschmack: Cremig, glatt und voluminös mit süßen Facetten von Orange und Zitrone, eine Spur cremige Vanille sowie ein Haus Meersalt folgen mit pfeffrigen Noten und einer holzigen Würze.

Abgang: Mittellang mit einer sanften, warmen Würze. Mit einem Spritzer Wasser kommt sogar noch Würzigkeit hinzu und der Nachgeschmack wird trockener.
