Take 100% malted barley, distil it three times on stills and mature the result for 30 long years. It's not that simple with this sublime Bushmills bottling. The cask maturation was meticulously planned, over different periods of time and in hand-picked, different types of casks. 14 years in Oloroso sherry butts and former bourbon casks and a 16-year finish in first-fill Pedro Ximénez casks make this three-decade-old Bushmills whiskey a velvety-soft and spicy-fruity Single Malt.

The Old Bushmills Distillery is probably the oldest licensed Whiskey distillery in the world - its licence dates back to 1608. It was officially founded in 1784 by Hugh Anderson in the Northern Irish town of Bushmills. Since then, Bushmills has been synonymous with traditionally triple-distilled, mild Irish Whiskey. Ein sehr komplexer und langanhaltender Geschmack, von sehr reifen und süßen Früchten.
Diese entwickeln sich beim Abgang in eine buttrige Süße, die mit Vanille und Honig kommt.
Ein sehr guter und feiner Tropfen, den man jedem Kenner empfehlen kann.

Aroma: Kraftvoll, mit dem süßen Duft von Rosinen, Feigen, Pflaumen und Datteln, derlangsam in würzig-warme Noten von Toffee und Nelke übergeht

Geschmack: Samtig-weiche Textur mit Süße von Datteln und Feigen verbinden sich mit einer erfrischenden Orangennote, bevor sich die Aromen zu Vanille und warmem Gebäck entwickeln.
