This exceptional Glenfarclas is one of the most affordable of all 21-year-old malt whiskies. It contains more smoke than other Glenfarclas. But only a subtle note in comparison. The sherry taste takes a back seat in favour of oak, vanilla and fruit.

The Glenfarclas distillery was founded in 1836 by Robert Hay and is one of the best-known and most successful family-run distilleries in Scotland. The owner family Grant is proud of its private status, which is reflected in the distillery's slogan ‘The Spirit of Independence’. Since 1865, the fifth generation of the Grant family has been shaping the history of the Glenfarclas distillery. This long family tradition guarantees consistent quality and the necessary foresight for a long-lasting product such as Whisky.     Kommentar: Der absolute Klassiker. Die Rauchtasticons kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Leider sind in den letzten Jahren die Preise so durch die Decke gegangen, dass das PLV längst nicht mehr gegeben ist. Habe als annehmbare Alternative den Glencadam Reserva Andalucia aufgetan.
