This 8-year-old Ben Nevis from The Decanter Collection by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage is presented in an elegant Ibisco decanter. It spent its maturation period in Oloroso sherry butts before being bottled at a slightly higher drinking strength, uncoloured and non-chill-filtered.

die Sherry Noten sind hier eher helle rote Waldfrüchte (Johannisbeere,Walderdbeere) und eine deutliche Nussigkeit (Haselnuss...auch bisschen Haselnusszweig)
Geschmack:
gefährlich süffig und gefällig, nicht ganz so fruchtig wie in der Nase, Die Nussigkeit und die frisch abgebrochenen Haselnusszweigen sind dominanter als die Fruchtnoten trotzdem doch recht süß im Antritt
Abgang:
eine (Holz) würzige Schärfe bleibt im Abgang,
beim zweiten Schluck wird der Abgang dann leicht karamellig

Kommentar: Ich war skeptisch wegen dem Alter, aber, sehr guter Whisky. Sherry und Früchte, süß.
Die Gewürze und ein wenig Kräuter zum Schluss.
Alkohol gut eingebunden. In der halbleeren Flasche mit Luft besser geworden.
