The Penderyn Faraday was originally bottled for the travel retail market and was named after Dr David Faraday, who developed the still at Penderyn Distillery. The bottling was aged in both ex-bourbon casks and ex-ruby port casks to produce a rich fruity whiskey.

The Distillery: Penderyn
Whisky from Penderyn Distillery is unique in many respects. Located in Brecon Beacon National Park, Penderyn is the only Whisky distillery in Wales. Furthermore, it uses a very special distillation method in a still called Faraday Still, which has been custom-made for Penderyn. In addition to the 'original' distillery, another Penderyn distillery opened on the northern coast of Wales at Lloyd Street in Llandudno in 2021.

Aroma: Reife und süße Früchte, dazu Waldbeerenmarmelade und Rosinen mit etwas frischer Vanille.
Geschmack: Cremig und weich, dazu intensive Noten von Vanille und Trockenfrüchten, Rosinen und Preisselbeeren dominieren, nachfolgend würzige Akzente von Eiche und etwas Toffee.
Abgang: MIttellang, erneute Beerennoten, dazu trockene Facetten von heller Schokolade und nussigen Anklängen.
Geschmack: Cremig und weich, dazu intensive Noten von Vanille und Trockenfrüchten, Rosinen und Preisselbeeren dominieren, nachfolgend würzige Akzente von Eiche und etwas Toffee.
