Product description

For this bottling, the normal 12-year-old The Real McCoy was bottled at a slightly stronger 46% vol. which brings out the flavours even more without making it taste too alcoholic. The name of the rum is derived from Bill McCoy, who earned his living as a rum runner during the time of prohibition. He became famous above all because he had very high quality standards for his rum. This tradition continues in the current bottlings, because Richard Seale, Master Distiller of the Foursquare Distillery and respected worldwide for his excellent work, has the sceptre in his hand here.
