Campbeltown, known as the whisky capital of the world in the 19th century with over 30 distilleries, looks back on an eventful past as a former centre of whisky production and still enjoys a global reputation today. Springbank is one of three active distilleries in Campbeltown that preserve the heritage of the former Victorian whisky capital of the world and produce unique single malts using traditional production methods. This 12-year-old Springbank was bottled at cask strength and matured 70% in bourbon casks and 30% in sherry casks. Springbank is one of the few distilleries that still malt all of its own barley.
