This exceptional Glenburgie from 1995 comes from Andrew Symington's hand-picked selection of 30-year-old rarities. The whisky initially matured for 30 years and then received a finish in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads, which gave it an intense dessert profile with dark-sweet fruit notes. With 48.5% vol. Cask Strength, without chill-filtration and without the addition of colouring agents, the whisky remains authentic and pure, while the elegant, powerful decanter underlines its collectable character. The palate reveals a rich, concentrated flavour. The dessert dram with dark sweet notes finishes long and increasingly dry. A real treat for discerning whisky lovers.

Schöne Tröpfchen am Glas.
Er kommt fruchtig daher.
Reife, vergorene Früchte.
Er wirkt mild und cremig.
Alkohol gut eingebunden,
habe ihm aber auch Zeit gelassen.
Im Mund ist der Spaß vorbei!
Der zieht gewaltig an.
Meine Zunge wird taub,
meine Säfte fließen.
Geschmacklich wirkt er herber, das Holz macht sich bemerkbar,
bleibt aber eher fruchtig, leicht süßlich sogar.
Ein wirklich schönes Aroma,
dass Fass hält sich zurück.
Der ist keinesfalls bitter,
wirkt fast wie ein Weinfass.
Und dann noch dieser herrliche Geruch, den man eigentlich von leeren Glas kennt.
Da ist jetzt auch Vanille, Birne, Pudding.
Langer Abgang.
Kräftig.
