The Caperdonich distillery was already closed in 2002 and demolished in the meantime. The 18-year-old was still distilled in the year of Caperdonich's closure. Even when the distillery was still open, the bottlings were only released in small batches. This is now also the case with the remaining stocks from the years before the closure.

Caperdonich Distillery was originally built as “Glen Grant#2, a clone of the famous distillery right next to it. It never really managed to step out of its shadow and attract own attention. Mothballed since 2002 it was demolished in 2011 but some independent bottlers still have casks with Caperdonich Whisky in their stock and present releases from time to time.

Kommentar: kein Schnäppchen, aber ein wirklich schöner Mix aus Rauch und würziger Süße. Wer sowas mag, kann hier drüber nachdenken.
