The Don Papa Rum Rye Cask matured in former whiskey rye barrels. Don Papa is one of the few distilleries in the Philippines. Until the 1980s, however, the island of Negros was still known as a sugar cane growing region, as the volcanic soil with its fertile composition makes for a particularly sweet harvest. So it made sense to set up a rum distillery, whose products are now known and loved all over the world.
