The Edradour Pinot Noir Cask is part of a new whisky series from Edradour owner and Signatory founder Andrew Symington, which was created in collaboration with the St. Michael-Eppan winery from South Tyrol. The 13-year-old single malt matured in a single Pinot Noir cask, which further enhances the whisky with subtle notes from the wine cask. Pinot Noir is an important red wine variety that is generally considered to be of high quality. The wine is sometimes referred to as the king of red wines. Maturing in this wine barrel gives the whisky notes of red fruit and accents of cinnamon.
