Matured for 42 years, Glenrothes has been characterised by cask maturation in the Highland distillery landscape. The external influences have allowed this special whisky to mature into a vibrant expression of the Glenrothes attitude to life. The colourful outer packaging of the fine bottle is a tribute to the colours and contours of the distillery. The Single Malt is a unique single cask whisky in a strictly limited edition.

De Distilleerderij: Glenrothes
The Glenrothes Distillery is located in Rothes in the heart of the Speyside. It looks back on a very turbulent history. The day the first spirit was distilled at Glenrothes was 28 December 1879 and this might have been seen a bit as a bad omen: It was the day the Tay Bridge at Dundee collapsed. Several times The Glenrothes was hit by fire and it burnt down at last, but as a phoenix it rose again and today it’s back on the stage and playing a big role in the Whisky game.

Aroma: Sonnengereifte Aprikosen, Orangenschalen und Zuckermandeln mit duftenden Noten von Koriandersamen und Muskatnuss sowie einem Hauch von frischem Zedernholz.
Geschmack: Reichlichalötig und süß mit braunem Zucker und Honigwabe. Dann cremig mit Vanille und gerösteten Mandeln. Leichte Eiche und ein ausgeprägter Orangenöl-Duft zum Ende hin.
Abgang: Cremig, süß und samtig mit sanftem, jedoch anhaltendem Duft.
