Ein schöner solider Bourbon. Allerdings mit mehr Würze und rauchige Eiche als die süßen Vanillie-Bourbons.
Mir persönlich ist die nussige Note zu viel. Erinnert mich an noch grüne, feuchte Walnüsse und das gefällt mir persönlich nicht so gut.

Kommentar: Bereits in der Nase nicht sehr komplex. Die Alkoholnote und die Eiche sind ständige Begleiter. Süße (Honig, Vanille, Karamell) bleibt stark im Hintergrund. Nur im Abgang kommt eine leichte Süße hervor, die angenehm mit der abklingenden Bitterkeit harmoniert.
Mein Fazit: mit Wasser verdünnt wird er gefälliger und offenbart dann auch die klassischen Bourbonnoten.
Pur würde ich jedoch jederzeit den Eagle Rare vorziehen, welcher einfach komplexer und aromatischer daherkommt.
