Loch Lomond produces its whiskies on a combination of different stills. Swan Neck Pot Still, Straight Neck Pot Still and Coffey Still produce a wide variance of fine flavours. The Loch Lomond Marsala Vatting was bottled exclusively for Whisky.de's 30th anniversary and, after its initial maturation in refill bourbon casks, received a 12 - 18 month finish in first fill Marsala hogsheads.

Loch Lomond is located in the Scottish town of Alexandria, directly on the lake of the same name. Hardly any other distillery in Scotland deserves the title 'unique' as much as Loch Lomond. Aroma: fruchtig, nach Wein und Trauben, sanft

Geschmack: süßlich, nach Dessertwein, leichte Alkoholschärfe

Abgang: vollmundig, aber auch leicht sprittig

Kommentar: der Einfluss der Süßweinfässer ist vorhanden, einige tropfen Wasser tun ihm gut - wird sanfter, aber der Süßweincharakter bleibt

Aroma: Karamellisierte Honigmandeln und kandierte Orangenschalen werden perfekt mit saftigen Rosinen und Aprikosenkompott ergänzt.

Geschmack: Anklänge von Traubensaft und die Süße von geschmolzenem braunem Zucker, gefolgt von frischer Vanille, Walnuss und zarter Eichenwürze.
