The Mezan XO rum from Jamaica consists of long matured and older Pot and Column Still molasses rums that have been aged in former bourbon barrels. The Blend is then bottled without added sugar, without colouring and without chill-filtering, as soon as it shows the characteristics of an authentic, matured Caribbean rum according to the trained senses of the Master Blender: Fresh notes of bananas, sweet spiciness and a mild as well as complex Taste with a gentle tobacco note.
