The Real McCoy Prohibition Tradtion pays tribute to the 100th anniversary of Bill McCoy's Rum Running during Prohibition. For this Blend, 12-year-old rums that were matured in ex-Bourbon and fresh oak barrels were married.
Bill McCoy became famous above all because he had very high quality standards for his rums. This tradition continues in the current bottlings, because Richard Seale, Master Distiller of the Foursquare Distillery and respected worldwide for his excellent work, has the sceptre in his hand here.

Geschmack: Honig, gewürzte Vanille und karamellisierte Muskatnuss, gefolgt von einem Hauch von schwarzem Pfeffer.
Abgang: Lang anhaltend und weich.

Nicht so süß wie meine Beschreibung vermuten lässt, trotz dessen im Mund erst Honig und Früchte zuschlagen. Schöne Zigarrenkiste - Note, mineralisch, herb-scharf mit Ingwer und Pfeffer, komplex in jedem Fall. Insgesamt ein ganz starker Rum, 4,5 bis 5 Sterne. Nicht ganz billig, deshalb überhaupt der minimale Abzug. Ist ein Rum der bei den Liebhabern von Whisky gut ankommen sollte…
