The 11-year-old Caol Ila tells the story of whisky craftsmanship combined with a high degree of creativity in Diageo's annual special release series. The 'Spirited Xchange Second Edition' runs under the motto "what if", in which different flavours are presented through different and special cask compositions. The special releases guide tasters, whisky fans and single malt collectors through rare bottlings, rich flavour profiles and their own imagination. The Caol Ila whisky has been matured in refill casks and renewed ex-wine casks made from American and European oak. This rare and NOT smoky single malt flavour experience was bottled in natural cask strength. The elaborately designed outer packaging makes the limited special bottlings ideal as a collector's item or high-quality gift.

Geschmack: Geschmeidig cremige, vollmundige Textur, insgesamt süßlich und reichhaltig. Fruchtig und nussig mit einer sich entwickelnden pfeffrigen Wärme, leicht tanninhaltig und trocken mit einer eichigen Würze. Durch Zugabe von etwas Wasser cremiger werdend.
Abgang: Lang und nussig mit einer angenehm wärmenden Würze.
