Dalmore Port Wood Reserve was first matured in American white oak casks, after which the whisky was split. One half continued to mature in the white oak casks, while the other half was filled into old Tawny Port Pipes from W&J Graham's estate. The subsequent marriage gave the Single Malt a balanced and aroma-rich character.

La distillerie: Dalmore
Dalmore is a high-quality Highland distillery with a good Whisky and an elegant bottle design. The distillery was long run by the noble Scottish Mackenzie clan. A member of the clan once saved King Alexander III's life while stag hunting by stabbing a deer attacking him at the last second. The king was so grateful that he allowed the Mackenzie clan to bear the royal twelve-tailed stag on their coat of arms. This symbol is still displayed on Dalmore bottles today. It was founded in 1839 and extended very often.

Kommentar: Ein Hammer Whisky. Vom Aroma schon beim Öffnen der Flasche bis zum langwährenden Abgang ein echter Genuss. Portwein und Dalmore gehen hier eine Weltklasse Symbiose ein.

Kommentar: Ich mochte den 15-jährigen schon wirklich sehr gerne. Aber dieser hier schraubt das ganze noch ein Stückchen weiter in die Höhe. Bin sehr begeistert.
