Leider ist das Geld den Whisky nicht wert. Ich hab mich sehr auf diese Abfüllung gefreut und leider wurde ich enttäuscht. Er ist zwar nicht schlecht, aber jeder gute Bourbon bis 50 Euro die Flasche ist eine bessere Investition! Für das Geld hätte ich mir lieber en Lagavulin, Ardbeg oder den Glenmorangie Accord kaufen sollen.

Die "A Tale Of..." Reihe ist eine kleine, lieb gewonnene Tradition bei mir und läutet langsam, die Leckereien-behaftete Jahresendzeit ein. Letztes Jahr hatte Glenmorangie mich verloren, da für mich das Japan Thema total uninteressant war und auch keinerlei saisonale Stimmung aufkam. Dieses Jahr geht es etwas zu den Ursprüngen der Reihe zurück, jedoch kann man nicht mit der Qualität von "Cake" und "Winter" mithalten. Die von Bill designten High Vanilin Fässer tun ganze Arbeit, kommen aber ehr wie Puddingpulver rüber als wie tiefe Vanille im Bourbon. Alles in allem lecker, auch die Tafelschokoladen Geschmäcker. Aber leider kann er seine Jugend nicht verbergen und büßt dadurch Lieblichkeit ein, die zu einem Dessert Whisky für mich dazugehört. Auch eine Fassholz Note, die aber unreif wirk

Kommentar: Wie ein Vorgänger schon schrieb - nicht der Beste aus der "Tale Of..." Reihe - aber definitiv sehr interessant und mal was anderes, sehr untypisch. Vanille ohne Ende bzw Vanillepudding trifft es ganz gut.
